Tarver (he/thou) is a counselor and graduating social service worker with extensive lived and professional experience supporting neurodivergent adults. His work is grounded in a mindfulness-based, relational approach that emphasizes nervous system regulation, self-understanding, and practical support rather than instruction-based or directive therapy.
Tarver specializes in working with autistic and ADHD adults, particularly around anxiety, rumination, sensory processing, identity, and burnout. As an autistic person with ADHD himself, he brings a deeply informed, affirming perspective to this work. His areas of focus include depression and anxiety, recovery from substance and process addictions, trauma and sensory overwhelm, eco-anxiety and climate grief, and men’s issues such as relationships, divorce, custody, polyamory/CNM, and bisexuality.
His work integrates mindfulness-based practices and EMDR-informed approaches, adapted to support emotional regulation and trauma processing within his scope of practice. Tarver is also experienced in harm-reduction approaches related to psychedelic use, offering education, preparation, and integration support (not facilitation).
Tarver has been sober from alcohol for over 23 years and brings this lived experience into his work with compassion, respect, and realism. He offers a calm, collaborative space where clients are supported at their own pace.
